Runway lengths are determined under standard conditions. One needs to apply corrections to the basic runway length depending on the elevation of the airport, temperature at the airport and the longitudinal gradient on the runway.

Runways are the integral part of any airport. No airport can exist without a runway.

One must think on the orientation of the runway. Are there any proper rules or scientific methods to orient the runway ?
